Life Groups

The Mustard Seed consists of “LifeGroups”: small groups of people who gather to encourage one another as followers of Christ. Each LifeGroup has approximately 8-14 people with the intention of growing and multiplying into new groups. All of the groups are centered in three-dimensional living as individuals and as a community:
1) Nurturing an upward relationship with the Triune God
by engaging Scripture and prayer;
2) Nurturing an inward relationship with others for
fellowship and support;
3) Nurturing an outward relationship with neighbors
near and far through invitation and service.

This “up, in, out” dynamic provides a crucial balance in the life and ministry of a disciple of Christ whether you’re new on the journey of Christian faith or a life-long traveler. Although the LifeGroups share a common three-dimensional emphasis, each LifeGroup is unique. LifeGroups can be a bible study, sports team, coffee clatch, task group, advocacy group, hobby or special interest group -- the possibilities are endless. The shape of the LifeGroup is determined by its leadership and participants as they listen to God’s call.
